“Projek Bursa Saham” is a project spearheaded by the Ministry of Finance and Economy to establish the first national securities exchange in Brunei Darussalam.

To realise this vision, Bursa Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (BNX) has been incorporated to develop and establish the exchange. The exchange aims to provide a platform for companies to raise capital through Initial Public Offerings (IPO) or other equity listings, and through the issuance and listing of Sukuk, while offering investors regulated access to equity, Sukuk, and other securities.

A Steering Committee (Jawatankuasa Pandu Penubuhan Bursa Saham) comprising of representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) and other key government agencies has been appointed to guide and oversee the project’s development.

BNX is working closely with BDCB and key government agencies to support the development of a vibrant and sustainable capital market landscape. BNX is also collaborating with local financial institutions, securities firms, and service providers to build an aligned ecosystem that complements and strengthens the future exchange.
